Are you NHS or Private?

We only provide private care.

Are you open evenings or weekends?

We have appointments available on Thursday evenings and by appointment some Saturday mornings, as well as 8.30 to 5.00 on weekdays.

Is the dentist gentle and kind?

Yes, our dentists are all highly skilled, kind, gentle and patient. They understand that coming to the dentist can be daunting for some people.

Is the dentist male or female?

We have both male and female dentists.

What are the fees?

Our fees can be accessed on the website and we have a printed version which you can access from reception.

Do you take on new patients?

Yes, we are happy to take on new patients. All new patients will have a 30 minute initial appointment to discuss any acute dental problems but also to assess general dental health and of course any medical problems that may be relevant.

Do you see children?

Yes, we are very happy to see children as we see ourselves as a family practice. We do checkups for children for free and charge a reduced fee for work needed. We encourage all our young patients to have regular oral hygiene checkups and instruction to ensure they develop good oral health habits. We also have an orthodontist at the practice to sort out those crooked teeth.

Do you have a hygienist/ orthodontist?

Yes, we have a hygienist available every day including some Saturday mornings and an orthodontist on Thursday afternoons and evenings.

Do you do implants?

Yes, we have a specialist implant surgeon, David Holmes, who is available on Wednesdays for consultation. David has a post graduate qualification in implant dentistry.

Do you do tooth whitening?

Yes, we have been doing tooth whitening since the early 1990's. We do both the classic home whitening system and in house laser whitening.

Do you do sedation for nervous patients?

Yes, we have a medical doctor who is available to administer sedation when required.

Do you take credit or debit cards?

Yes, we take all major cards.

Is there easy access to the practice or are there stairs?

We do have a flight of stairs up to the waiting area. If you let us know your requirements we can arrange to see you in a nearby practice which has very good and easy access.

Do you do Practice Plans?

If you are insured we are happy to complete your insurance claim form and you can claim reimbursement from your insurer. We do not encourage practice plans (capitation systems) as these are not true insurance schemes. These plans involve a third party to help spread the cost but do not offer good value as the third party takes a fee.
